Let’s know more about the

material we use to create our products.

We have save this section to present the amazing textile have been created to take the plastic from the ocean.

Seatex (Plastic from the Ocean)

This textile is one of the most certified, earth friendly fibres in the world. It’s high quality recycled polyester yarn  made from recycled materials including post consumer plastic bottles and plastic captured from the sea, thats why it contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the waste in the planet’s water.

Production process:

With a vertical production process with controlled traceability, we recycle some of the plastic collected, turning it into granules, yarn and fabric based on responsible manufacturing. The result are recycled fabrics meeting all quality standards.

We select plastic from the Mediterranean sea, from Atlantic Ocean and Java sea to obtain PET (polyethyleneterephthalate) chips or pellets.

Pinatex (Pineapple leaf fiber)

Pineapple leaf fibers are natural and a very interesting material to work with because it is not only water resistant but also very warm. If you add an eco-cream, then you will get a very resistant model to wear all winter! This fabric is produced by an English company that works with local farmers in Philippines. The pineapple production is not specifically to make shoes, so we only use the pineapple leaves from pineapple that is consumed. The production is made by these local farmers in Philippines where the human rights and the labor laws are respected. We contribute for waste recycling and we help these communities with a sale price percentage for each meter we buy. Pineapple leaves are waterproof, breathable and anti-allergic.

The ethical alternative is the use of organic cotton. No chemicals or synthetics are used in the cultivation and production process and the water used for growing the plant is only rain water. Thus, this fabric becomes completely natural, sustainable and biodegradable.

In general, they are made of nylon, cotton and polyester. We only work with ecological microfibers with OEKO-TEX certified that guarantees that don’t exist any waste of water or energy in its production. Basically, they are lighter and more ecological with minimal waste. It’s the most versatile material to work because it’s water resistant and fresh. Microfibers are as tough as leather and less prejudicial to the environment.

Chewing gum is somewhat of a universal pastime, but the consequence is often the amount of gum left on streets when people split it out.

To reduce waste and litter we have collaborated to design a shoe from the recycled gum. Our pink sole is made of recyclable compounds, and those compounds are made up to 20% gum.
